In 2008 it was the turn of the JASDF to host the defence forces review at Hyakuri Air Base.Aviation elements of the JGSDF and JMSDF also took part.This base is also the home of the 501s Hikotai operating the Mcdonnell Douglas RF-4E and RF-4J Phantoms
