MGB (Motor Gun Boat)-81 was commissioned and accepted in 1942.Capable of 42 Knots,she and her sisters were involved in action in the English Channel,attacking enemy torpedo boats and landing secret agents on occupied soil.She was later involved in D-Day operations.She is owned and operated by the Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust.
